UPDATE 23/10/20
Hi all
We are delighted that training can continue for school aged children. There is currently some interruption to our normal training as we are arranging floodlight access etc.. We hope to be back to our normal training times the week after the mid-term and we will update you on this in due course.
Dublin City Council have provided great support to us through this difficult period. One of the reasons for this is how impressed they have been with our Covid plan and adherence to Government guidelines. It is critical for training to continue that we all follow the guidelines and maintain a position of positive approval from Dublin City Council.
Please note the following:
1. You must be pre-booked, in your correct age group – Failure to do this will mean no access. We can not change groups on the day.
2. The check in will now be outside the side gate. Only pre-booked athletes, coaches & parent helpers will be allowed access. As the training involves Juveniles one parent only can enter BUT they must complete a Covid declaration and provide contact details. This is being done through the booking system and an additional ticket – “Parent Viewing Access”- must be purchased to enter. N.B. NO SIBLINGS ARE ALLOWED TO ENTER TO VIEW – it is strictly 1 parent guardian per athlete.
3. For parents who wish to view (and have booked) the allocated standing area is under the stadium balcony ONLY. Please set a good example and maintain a social distance of 2 mtrs from other parents.
4. The car park is currently shut so you will need to walk your athlete to the side gate. Please do not obstruct locals entrances etc when temporarily parked .
5. When queuing to book in please maintain 2 mtrs distance using the lines marked on the ground outside the side gate.
6. The toilet facilities are closed so please ensure your athlete(s) uses facilities at home prior to training
7. Please ask your athlete to maintain a 2 mtr social distance when at training apart from when their coach instructs them to run ,jump etc. We have a number of athletes mess fighting, touching each other, not maintaining the distance etc. – we will advise them to cease BUT if they do not they will be asked to leave training and may be suspended from future sessions.
We look forward to your support to ensure that training can continue safely for all.
Yours in sport,
John Caird
Crusaders AC Juvenile Covid Officer
